The Archive

The Hitz press archive holds about 144 original documents on the 1965 disappearance of the heiress Anna Maria Hitz: newspaper clippings in English, Spanish, German and French from three continents, plus court papers, letters and photographs. The family kept all of it for sixty years. Twelve documents are public below, in the order they were printed. The rest stay sealed until the story is told.

Digitized from the family scrapbooks. The tape, the tears and the blue-pen underlines are original. These pages were never meant to leave the family.
